Despite only buying this album somewhat recently it's become one of my favourite prog albums.

Close to the Edge is such an insane track I. The Solid Time of Change is a crazy opener like that guitar makes me drool II. Total Mass Retain fuckssss like that faster vocal bit is soooo good III. I Get Up, I Get Down is probably the bit I get stressed out the most when making other people listen because it's slower but that organ oh my goddddd straight chills. The transition into IV. Seasons of Man is crazy, ITS SO FUCKING GOOOODDDDDD. SEASONS WILL PASS YOU BY. What a fucking climax. I love this track so much, one of the all time best prog pieces.

And You and I something something words I. Cord of Life is alright, probably the weakest bit of the track but it's just the opener II. Eclipse has some incredible synths and is just quite grand III. The Preacher, the Teacher is like if Cord of Life had more sauce so it slaps, the end of that part also is great. IV. The Apocalypse is a really nice end although I would have liked it to drag on a bit

Siberian Khatru is quite good but sometimes I don't look forward to it because something about me really dislikes the start of the chorus when he says "Even Siberia goes through the motions", the rest of the chorus is fine I just don't like that bit for whatever reason. A bit of the instrumental start I don't entirely like. This is all nitpicking though because the rest of the song is great especially that instrumental break like that fucks. The outro is sooo good like there is no way you can listen to this and not smile.

Album so good it led to Bill Bruford leaving Yes which got us the King Crimson album Red
