The Fat of the Land

The Prodigy
89/100
classic
Big Beat

Despite for some reason them dropping the "The" in their name for this album this is THE Prodigy album, there are so many great tracks in it and the album art is probably their most iconic. There is nothing to say about Smack My Bitch Up as it's just banging like what a cool start to the album. Breathe straight after too, insane tracks. Diesel Power is great too, perfect length for what it is. I think unlike the first two albums it's quite nice to have the first three be such a strong intro to the album, I feel like I possibly have a more positive view to the rest of the tracks when the start is quite strong.

Funky Shit is pretty decent, I really looove how it transitions into Serial Thrilla. You don't need the tracks to sound wrong on their own to have a good transition like that, like Diesel Power its the perfect length too and the dragging ending works with the transition into Mindfields. Both Mindfields and Narayan are great, I find it hard to talk about tracks like that because they are unique enough to be their own thing but also they are just :) 8/10 tracks that I like listening to in an album so there isn't much to talk about. Narayan should have had a harder transition into Firestarter though because those two last mins are sick and perfectly set up for it but it kind of goes in and out (love it regardless).

Firestarter fucks, it just straight slaps. It's hard to say its the specific highlight out of the album because SMBU and Breathe are on it but like it's just that one song that I don't think I can ever skip if it comes on. Climbatize is like Weather Experience 2, love it for that. Fuel My Fire is a decent closer. Thank you funny crab album for being 56 mins of joy.
