Diamond Life is such a lovely album. I don't know how they do it but it's impossible to listen to this without having a smile on your face. Banger after banger and it's an easy choice to put on if you are feeling like that, if you need to feel like that or just because. It's genuinely amazing because I initially thought it was a compilation album because every song was that good, I am shocked that not only is it just an album but it's also their debut.
The first three tracks are probably what made me think it was a compilation album because that is an insane 3 track run of songs, Cherry Pie and Why Can't We Live Together are also favourites but really the whole album is amazing. I am glad I randomly picked this album one day and checked the Wikipedia because in addition to finding out it's a normal album it meant that I discovered the correct pronunciation of Sade so I didn't embarrass myself in front of my parents and could be a smug asshole to a friend at a pub quiz.
