I feel like I am too stupid to get it or I haven't listened to it enough times to get it or something is wrong with me but it's just alright. The way people talk about it makes it seem like THE ALBUM and I know it would be an asshole thing to do if I just went "clearly it's overrated" because I am pretty sure it must be an issue with me as to why I don't think it's an absolutely perfect album. But to me it's just alright/good and nothing more.
I didn't like the first two tracks that much, Fitter Happier is more like Filler Happier and Electioneering to me feels like the most nothingburger song. Other tracks were just "good" like how I felt about most of them in The Bends or they were forgettable. The only two good ones I haven't immediately forgot about are Karma Police because my computer crashed when I was halfway through the track (thank you webfishing) and The Tourist because it was in a best of 97' CD. I like No Surprises and Exit Music (For a Film) a lot which just makes me even more confused about the rest of the album because it's clear some of the tracks speak to me but I just don't get how I don't like it all when I feel I am meant to? This isn't even my first listen as that first time I felt nothing, but this time I am just left felt confused.
