A truly amazing album. great throughout and easily one of the best albums. I think they have really outdone themselves, whilst the last two albums were good this one is definitely in the same league as Songs for the Deaf. Everything from the tone of the album to the cover is truly great. I love I Sat by the Ocean, Vampyre is beautiful and the first QOTSA song I had on repeat. If I Had a Tail is Josh Homme coming out as a furry. My God Is the Sun is a BANGER and I never really appreciated how good it is till I played a BeatSaber map of it.
As much as I love I Sat By the Ocean the stand out part of on this album is the final two tracks. I Appear Missing is a phenomenal and emotional song, I love everything about it like it's truly something special. ...Like Clockwork is such a lovely song and even more emotional than IAM, I think it's on par with tracks like Time or Childhoods End by Pink Floyd for digging into me emotionally with the same subject like that. Not everything that goes around comes back around. It's easily one of the best closers for an album.
...Like Clockwork was the first Queens of the Stone Age album I listened to because a friend recommended it when I showed them all the albums I had on my media server. I am very thankful to both them and my dad for getting me into this band.
