THANK YOU GOD FOR BRITISH PEOPLE SO MUSE EXIST. It's one of those albums where I am like "There is no way the album was that good" and then I listen to it again and I am proven WRONG. Black Hones and Revelations is an insanely good album and a highlight in their career.
Starlight is straight up amazing, it's so beautiful and then when it ends you get Supermassive Black Hole which is such a banger. All of the tracks are able to stand on their own, everything is varied enough to where you can have several noisy tracks listed together without it feeling repetitive or same-ish making the experience of listening to the album as a whole or tracks individually on a playlist great. Take a Bow is an amazing opener and Knights of Cydonia is an amazing end to the album. I just really love all of it.
It's the album that got me into Muse, when digitising all my parents CDs I put this on because I recognised the album art as something that was downloaded to my mum's iPod (probably by my dad) and ever since that first listen I was hooked. It's even crazier because the period I got into Muse / my first listen of this album was when I met someone on VRChat who later turned out to be a big Muse fan and the person who got me hooked on Origin of Symmetry. So this album really was the first domino that fell on me getting reallly into Muse.
