I LOVE VIOLATORRRRRRR. Such an amazing album and one of my favourites, I am so mad for years and years the only Depeche Mode song I listened to was Just Cant Get Enough. How could I let myself miss out on experiencing Violator?? Am I stupid?? From start to finish it's amazing like World in My Eyes is such a good opener, Sweetest Perfection is just great. Personal Jesus SLAPS so much like the start of that track is amazing and it just gets better as the track goes on.
When I introduced a friend to this album she said her favourite song was Halo so that track always reminds me of her, also reminds me of Oregon siege warmup track, I think I would love the track just as much without that. Whenever I haven't got to Waiting for the Night in my head I'm like doubting it as some filler track but it is quite beautiful and so needed to build up to Enjoy the Silence.
I fucking love Enjoy the Silence so much, it's all I ever wanted, all I ever needed out of a song. It slaps so hard, love the bit at the end even if I have to use the single version for my playlist. I love how it goes into Policy of Truth so much like I also LOVE that track to bits, probably the one I like the most lyrically. Blue Dress is a pervy track but it sounds so good, the start of Clean is quite cool and I love the rest of the track.
There really isn't anything remotely close to bad with this album. it's truly perfect. I love the album art, super simple but bold and iconic.
Easily one of the highlights of going through my dads CDs and I am forever thankful that I am his child.
