Such a great debut album, Don't Panic is a great opener and I think this version is definitely the one because the pronunciation of the chorus just flows so much better than the The Blue Room version of it. Shiver is great. A friend said they really loved the album but lyrics to spies suck and I have to kinda agree, I don't think it makes the song bad because the 15 previous listens were nice but after paying closer attention to the lyrics I do get how that could bug you. Still a good track. I love Sparks like what a track.
Yellow I really can't tell how I feel about it because sometimes I HATE it like it is so overplayed and it's just not the best track on the album, it also feels like it's forcing itself to be the stand out single because the jump from Sparks to Yellow is just a bit jarring. Despite all that I do have to reluctantly agree that it is a good track and it's just one of those tracks that is 10x better when
I LOVE TROUBLE, easily my favourite track it just sounds so good and I really love the vibe and the piano just cums. High Speed and We Never Change are lovely. Everything's Not Lost is a very beautiful closer and I am glad the secret track is only 10 seconds away from the end of it because it's always so stupid when they are minutes away. Life is for Living feels like it fits, it's has a similar vibe to Everything's Not Lost but sounds different to where it is it own thing. Feels more like an epilogue than a secret track and I think that's cool.
I bought this because my friend said it was the best Coldplay album, personally I think I like ARoBttH a bit more but I think they were right. However they had NEVER LISTENED TO THE ALBUM BEFORE, they were giving out the opinion like they were a trusted source but nope they had NEVER listened to the album and only said that because they really like Yellow. I have no clue why they said that and it's one of the reasons I really got into Coldplay, just to prove a point.
